We are looking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic Drama and Dance specialist who can motivate and inspire pupils across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to join our forward thinking Creative Arts department.
You will have a good track record of excellent classroom practice, be committed to high standards of learning and student progress, with the energy and vision to build on current progress and have ambitions for yourself and our school.
This is a part-time, maternity contract to start September 2020. FTE to be confirmed but is likely to be between 0.6 – 0.8
The Drama and Dance department sits alongside Music, Art, Textiles and Media in the Creative Arts faculty, within the department there is a Head of Drama/Dance, Head of Music, and a Head of Art/Textiles all under the leadership of the Head of Creative Arts. There is currently one teacher of Dance/Drama, three teachers of Music, one of Media/Drama/STEAM and three teachers of Art/Textiles.
Penryn College is a lively thriving college with an excellent reputation who cater for boys and girls aged between 11 and 16 years with a current number on roll of 1135 and we pride ourselves on offering the very best for our students.
In 2008 we moved into our £24 million pound new school building, which has a great range of resources, including an information rich environment, state of the art sporting facilities including a 6 badminton court size sports hall, the latest generation astro turf pitch and our own climbing wall.
